About the Role
Aeden Fruits International is expanding its retail footprint and is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to help lead one of our retail stores. This role is focused on the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) sector, where quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh produce and a proven track record of driving sales and managing a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Performance: Assist the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets for the F&V department. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to boost performance.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of retail associates. Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure the team is knowledgeable about our products and provides excellent service.
• Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, stock rotation, and ensuring produce freshness. Manage ordering to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Merchandising & Presentation: Ensure the F&V section is well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing. Implement effective merchandising strategies to attract customers and highlight promotional items.
• Customer Experience: Act as a key point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and building strong relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and quality standards are strictly followed within the store, particularly those related to handling fresh produce.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Education: A high school diploma is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years in retail, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
• Direct experience in the fresh fruits and vegetables, grocery, or a similar perishables-focused retail sector is essential.
• Proven ability to lead a team and drive sales performance.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic knowledge of retail management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Ernakulam - Based within our retail store network.
