Job Title: Assistant Professor – Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Cognosy

Position Overview:

Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures, practical classes, and tutorials in

  Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Cognosy

  to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Design and implement curriculum updates in line with current industry trends and regulatory standards.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations, and lab research work.
• Guide students in the use of analytical tools and drug design software.
• Initiate and publish research in recognized national and international journals.
• Ensure adherence to PCI, AICTE, and NAAC documentation and academic audit processes.
• Participate in academic events, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
• Maintain and upgrade laboratory infrastructure and safety standards.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• M.Pharm in

  Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Analysis

  /

  Pharmaceutical Cognosy / Medicinal Cognosy

  with First Class.
• (Ph.D. preferred as per UGC/PCI norms or willingness to pursue doctoral research.)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of teaching/research/industry experience in pharmaceutical chemistry or related fields.
• Fresh postgraduates with excellent academic performance may also be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in handling lab instruments such as HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer, FTIR, etc.
• Knowledge of organic synthesis, drug design techniques, and analytical methods.
• Understanding of pharmacopoeial standards and ICH guidelines.

Desirable Qualities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to outcome-based education (OBE) and Bloom’s taxonomy.
• Research publications in UGC-CARE / Scopus / SCI-indexed journals.
• Participation in faculty development programs (FDPs), workshops, or industry collaborations.
