Job Description: Assistant Mechanical Development Engineer

Company Overview:

VRP MEDGANDS®, located in Poonamallee, Chennai, is a medical device manufacturing company. We specialize in the development of Blood and Infusion Warmer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support R&D team in developing and refining medical devices.
• Follow up with vendors for component development and delivery timelines.
• Visit vendor locations for physical verification and issue resolution.
• Inspect and document the quality of mechanical components.
• Ensure all components meet original specifications.
• Assemble mechanical components and verify against design requirements.
• Identify deviations and coordinate corrections with vendors.
• Maintain records of measurements and QC inspections.
• Prepare reports on component quality and vendor performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (2025, 2024 pass-out)
• Strong interest in medical devices and healthcare technology.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical terminology and design and development of mechanical components is a plus.
