Assistant Manager - Warehouse

You will be responsible for Warehousing and logistics activities for a multi BU business in India. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning & Prioritizing Finished Goods Dispatches. - Optimising space utilization for storage of RMs, Packing items & FG. - Ensuring safe mode of transport to dispatch FGs, minimizing damage while in transit. - Systematic storing of unloaded materials. - Implementing effective inventory methods such as FIFO, JIT. - Managing all 12 warehouses in different parts of India. - Maintaining minimum inventory to reduce costs. - Managing and disposing of scraps. - Ensuring 5S in the site/shop floor/departments. - Complying with AN Safety standards, ISO 9001:2007, & ISO 14001. - Ensuring safe working habits during loading & unloading by using appropriate PPEs. In terms of HSE, you will need to: - Contribute to the BBS program at the site. - Work together with the HSE&S department to integrate safety into business processes. - Ensure SAQ elements 2.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 are in or above reference level. Your responsibilities will also include: - Coordinating with Planning, Sales, Order Desk, Production, Commercial & Finance teams. - Creating a positive and developing climate with respect to HSE. - Leading and directing the logistics team. - Ensuring the site meets AN HSE Standards and Directives. - Maintaining proper documentation for each process. - Generating various reports & interacting with the taxation department for smooth operation. Regarding job requirements, you must have: - University Degree. - 10+ years of experience in Warehouse profile. - Good interpersonal relationships. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Knowledge of industrial relations and labor legislation. Two examples of typical challenges you may face in your daily work include: - Compliance of P.M in powder due to production pressure and no spare capacity - dialogue with the production team.
