Assistant Manager - Warehouse

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple warehouses (minimum 4 PAN India locations).
  
• Supervise and lead a team of 10 Warehouse Officers, monitor performance, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to operational standards.
  
• Handle daily inbound, storage, and outbound operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
  
• Manage and update warehouse contracts, labour allocation, and overall process flow.
  
• Drive material handling, dispatches, outward logistics, and analytics in coordination with units.
  
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and effective stock control.
  
• Collaborate with sales and planning teams for effective demand forecasting and ensure timely order fulfilment.
  
• Track order discrepancies and resolve delivery delays to maintain customer satisfaction.
  
• Plan, monitor, and optimize logistics operations in coordination with transporters and 3PL partners, ensuring SLA adherence and cost efficiency.
  
• Prepare and analyse MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) on inventory, order accuracy, turnaround times, and warehouse utilization.
  
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-saving or process improvements using analytics.
  
• Drive initiatives to improve Customer Service Level (CSL) metrics fill rate, order accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and plants to address supply chain bottlenecks and ensure smooth operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  
• 15 to 20 years of experience handling multiple warehouses (minimum 4), preferably in the

  Automotive / Auto Spares Industry

  .
• Proven expertise in material handling, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
  
• Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (SAP / Oracle or similar).
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and analytics tools (Power BI / Tableau preferred).
  

• Hindi speaking is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, process orientation, and data-driven decision-making.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of motivating teams.
