Assistant Manager Statutory Audit

Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager Statutory Audit at our client's top audit and advisory firm in Mumbai, your key responsibilities will include planning & scheduling statutory audit assignments, independently finalizing audit assignments (including group reporting), leading & motivating the team, conducting trainings, acting as a SPOC for clients, applying the firm's methodology, communicating with clients and overseas counterparts, coordinating with cross-service teams, owning client relationships, possessing working knowledge of internal audits, being flexible with nonstandard assurance engagements, and being open to travel to various client locations. Key Responsibilities: - Plan & schedule statutory audit assignments - Finalize audit assignments independently, including group reporting - Lead & motivate the team to ensure high-quality delivery - Conduct trainings within the team - Act as a SPOC for clients - Apply the firm's methodology - Communicate with clients and overseas counterparts as needed - Coordinate with cross-service teams for various assignments - Take ownership of clients including CSS, billing, recovery, etc. - Possess working knowledge of internal audits - Be flexible to work on nonstandard assurance engagements - Comfortably travel to various client locations Qualification Required: - Chartered Accountant qualification - 3-5 years of post-qualification experience - Excellent knowledge of business processes, accounting, reporting, and audit methodology - Proficiency in accounting standards and SAs under Indian GAAP - Awareness of reporting under IFRS and other GAAPs for group reporting - Strong technical knowledge in AS, SAs, etc. required for assignment execution - Familiarity with direct and indirect taxes and corporate laws - Experience in team management and client handling - Exposure to ERP environments such as Tally, SAP, JDE, etc. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
