Assistant Manager - Sourcing

Position Grade

Principal Responsibility

• Analyze Demand and Supply gaps to ensure smooth processing of the function.
• Managing procurement of all materials, streamlining the system & procedures for effective inventory control.
• Collection of Quotation from Market. Inviting Quotation from market.
  Arranging meeting with Vendors.
• Evaluating & calculating the costs & ensuring cost effective procurement
• Prepare purchase requisitions, prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
• Interfacing with the suppliers and regular follow up for timely delivery.
• Liaise with Accounts Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.
• Assisting in inventory, distribution, freight, planning, material management, purchase, etc.
• Co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders for proper & timely supply of material required.
• Maintain monthly stock list ensuring physical stock, vendor follow-up, vendor visits, and production requirement with pro-active communication / co-ordination with vendors as well as internal personnel.

Preparing MIS/ reports related to purchases activities

Knowledge

• Exposure to manufacturing Industry.
• Knowledge of relevant product & market.

Should have knowledge of Costing, Negotiation with vendors
