Assistant Manager Quality QA Location – Ecotech 2 AFC Unit 2 Job Overview: The Quality Manager will oversee and maintain the quality control processes of the office chair manufacturing operation. This role ensures all products meet both company standards and regulatory requirements for safety and quality. The Quality Manager will build & lead a team responsible for inspecting products, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices for maintaining high standards throughout production. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control Oversight: Develop, implement, and manage quality control procedures to ensure all office chairs meet the required specifications, standards, and customer expectations, Will be also responsible for high end quality lab in terms of operational and data management of the out put of the lab. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the quality assurance team, providing direction, training, and support to maintain high-performance standards. Product Inspections: Monitor and inspect products during various stages of production to identify defects or quality issues. Ensure thorough testing of materials, components, and finished products. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve efficiency. Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulatory and safety standards, including ISO, ANSI/ BIFMA , or other applicable quality certifications. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of problems. Customer Feedback: Manage customer complaints regarding product quality, performing investigations and collaborating with teams to resolve issues effectively. Supplier Quality Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and support continuous improvement efforts for incoming materials. Reporting: Maintain comprehensive quality records, prepare regular quality reports, and track key quality metrics (defect rates, rework, and scrap rates). Training & Development: Conduct training for production staff on quality standards, processes, and best practices for ensuring high-quality products. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that design and manufacturing processes align with quality goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the office chair industry. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma/ Lean etc.) and industry-specific standards. Experience in Build , Lead & manage quality control teams, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and product quality. Familiarity with office chair design, production processes, and materials used in manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to work effectively with various teams and customers. Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools, Lab Equipments. Preferred Skills: Certification in Quality Management preferred (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, ASQ Certification). Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes. Knowledge of ergonomics and furniture standards like ANSI/ BIFMA/ BIS Exposure to Quality Lab Working Conditions: Full-time position Occasional travel to supplier sites and customer locations may be required.
