About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Parent Seed to oversee the planning, production, and quality of parent (breeder/foundation) seeds. The role ensures smooth coordination between R&D and production teams to support hybrid seed programs with high-quality parent material.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute parent seed production across multiple locations.
• Coordinate with R&D and production teams to align seed demand and availability.
• Identify and manage growers/farmers for parent seed multiplication.
• Monitor crop health, isolation, and rouging to ensure genetic purity.
• Oversee quality assurance, field operations, and seed production standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and logistics.
• Supervise harvesting, processing, and storage of parent seeds.
• Train and support growers on best agronomic and production practices.
• Ensure compliance with certification and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare detailed production reports and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Seed Science, or related field.
• Experience: 5–8 years of experience in seed production (preferably parent/breeder seed).
• Core Skills:
• Seed production and quality management
• Grower coordination and field supervision
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
• Strong communication and planning abilities

Desirable

• Experience with hybrid crops (maize, rice, cotton, or etc).
• Knowledge of seed certification and regulatory compliance.
