Develop and Execute Strategic Communication Plans
- Design and deliver a comprehensive communications strategy that supports RWF s objectives and enhances awareness of its work among stakeholders and sectoral audiences.
- Create and execute communication plans for all active programs and projects within Gujarat.
- Identify internal and external communication opportunities and risks, developing proactive strategies to manage them.
- Serve as a communications advisor to the management team, providing strategic inputs and recommendations.
- Conceptualize and implement organization-wide communication initiatives, including knowledge collaterals, campaign materials, and key accomplishment showcases.
- Manage content and outreach for RWF s digital properties including website updates, blogs, newsletters, videos, and social media channels.
Maintain and periodically update RWF s brand assets and brand toolkit.

Lead Communication Operations and Media Engagement

Draft and edit blogs, articles, newsletters, and press releases; create short videos and multimedia stories for internal and external dissemination.

Build and sustain strategic relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key ecosystem influencers.

Apply innovative communication tools and methods to maximize engagement and message effectiveness.

Oversee the organization s press and PR activities, print communications, and digital presence, ensuring alignment with brand voice and positioning.

Partner with program managers to define communication frameworks for delivery partners and establish clear reporting and evaluation metrics.

Drive Execution and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Take end-to-end ownership of communication deliverables for Gujarat, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs aligned with organizational goals.
- Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, collaborating closely with State Leads and program teams locally, as well as the Head of Communications at the Head Office.
- Partner with peers across other RWF states and programs to ensure consistency, learning exchange, and alignment of communication narratives.
- Manage coordination with external agencies and vendors for website design, digital assets, and development of marketing and outreach materials.
- Uphold accountability for outcomes while maintaining efficiency, quality, and brand coherence across all state-level communication initiatives.

- Postgraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, or Management with an understanding of the social sector.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with proven success in communications, influencer outreach, and public relations.
- Strong proficiency in English and Hindi, with professional working knowledge of Gujarati (written and verbal) - this is essential for the role.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills; proficiency in tools such as Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic video editing software.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
- Experience in managing multiple communication projects simultaneously with attention to quality and impact.
- Demonstrated interest in social enterprise, education, and livelihoods sectors.
