Assistant Manager-Operations

Role & responsibilities

1. Production & Project Coordination

• Assist in planning and scheduling of manufacturing, assembly, and testing operations.
• Monitor production progress against project timelines and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Support order execution from engineering release to dispatch.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and shop floor teams to ensure smooth workflow.

2. Material & Supply Chain Coordination

• Track material availability and follow up with the purchase team for critical items (castings,

Forgings, piping components, instrumentation items).

• Coordinate with stores for inventory management and issue control.
• Support vendor follow-ups for outsourced components and subcontracted processes.

3. Quality & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with QAP, ITP, and customer specifications during manufacturing.
• Facilitate stage inspections and final testing with internal QA/QC and third-party IBR &

customer inspectors.

4. Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Support to planning for daily/weekly project status reports and highlight delays or risks.
• Track KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), manufacturing lead time & cost, defect/rework,

operational excellence.

• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for recurring issues.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as an operational link between planning, design, supply chain, production, quality, stores

& dispatch.

• Support after sales service team, customer visits, and internal review meetings.
• Participate in process improvement & drive initiatives till implementation.

6. Operational Excellence

• Deploy digital tools for production tracking and project monitoring.
• Support effective implementation & upgradation of ERP throughout the execution.
• Contribute to capacity expansion or technology upgradation initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Additional certification in Project Management or Operations will be an advantage
