About the Role

Assistant Manager – HR

This is a central HR role that will work closely with senior leadership and support business growth across both plant and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

A. Corporate HR Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead hiring for corporate roles across Accounts, Sales, Design, Procurement, HR, Administration, and Mid-Management.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, manage job postings, conduct initial screening, and schedule interviews.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future organisational expansion.

2. HR Operations & Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Manage onboarding, documentation, employee confirmations, HR records, and exit procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee master database and HRIS/MIS dashboards.
  • Roll out company-wide HR communications, circulars, and policy updates.

3. HR Policies, SOPs & Compliance

  • Assist COO in drafting, refining, and implementing HR policies and SOPs across the organisation.
  • Ensure policy uniformity across departments and maintain compliance documentation.

4. Payroll & Attendance Coordination

  • Consolidate monthly attendance inputs from plant and corporate teams.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for payroll processing, salary structuring, and CTC management.
  • Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI) through accurate data and timely submissions.

5. Performance Management & Appraisals

  • Support creation and implementation of KRAs/KPIs for all functions.
  • Coordinate appraisal cycles, documentation, evaluation forms, and promotion recommendations.
  • Track employee performance issues and maintain performance records.

6. Training & Development

  • Conduct training need analysis for corporate and plant staff.
  • Coordinate functional and behavioural training programs.
  • Maintain a training calendar and effectiveness reports.

7. Corporate Governance, Reporting & HR Analytics

  • Prepare monthly HR dashboards including hiring status, attrition, manpower numbers, training, confirmations, and compliance.
  • Present HR reports to the COO and leadership as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and governance in all HR processes.

B. Plant HR Coordination (Light Operational Support)

  • Coordinate manpower requirements with plant supervisors and support corporate hiring for plant positions.
  • Ensure accurate attendance, leave data, and overtime inputs reach corporate HR for payroll processing.
  • Support documentation related to PF, ESI, labour compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Ensure HR policies, discipline, and communication practices are implemented uniformly at the plant as well.

Candidate Profile

  • 10 years

    of corporate HR and plant HR coordination experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Exposure to aluminium, UPVC, fabrication, or metal/glass industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in recruitment, HR operations, payroll coordination, compliance basics, and performance management.
  • Must be disciplined, structured, and capable of independently managing HR for the organisation.
  • Male candidates preferred due to coordination requirements at the Newai plant.
