Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Cost Accounting & Analysis

Maintain and analyze standard costs of manufacturing processes.
Conduct product costing, including raw material, labor, and overhead costs.
Track and analyze material and production variances.

2. Inventory Valuation

Ensure accurate inventory valuation as per accounting standards.
Coordinate with production and stores teams for monthly stock audits and reconciliations.
Review and monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in preparing annual budgets and cost forecasts.
Analyze budget vs. actual cost data and report deviations.

4. Reporting & MIS

Prepare and present monthly cost reports and dashboards.
Provide cost data for management decision-making and pricing strategies.

5. Process Improvement & Controls

Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement process improvements.
Develop and maintain internal controls for cost-related activities.

6. Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Coordinate with auditors during internal, statutory, or cost audits.

Preferred candidate profile

Should have manufacturing industry experience
