Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Role: Assistant Manager Current Account

Location: Ahmedabad

Department: Branch Banking

Job Purpose:

The role involves acquiring and managing Current Account (CA) relationships for the assigned

branch or cluster. The incumbent will drive CASA growth by sourcing high-value current accounts,

ensuring high-quality service delivery, and supporting cross-selling of banking products to meet

business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquire new Current Account customers through direct sourcing and branch leads.
Drive business growth by ensuring a steady inflow of CASA balances.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, SMEs, and corporates.
Ensure onboarding of quality clients in compliance with KYC and AML norms.
Cross-sell banking products such as payment solutions, CMS, forex, and trade services.
Achieve monthly and quarterly business targets for account opening, balances, and revenue.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of Current Account and Transaction Banking products.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Target-oriented mindset with ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of local market and customer segments.
Sound understanding of compliance and KYC regulations.

Qualification & Experience:

Graduate / Postgraduate preferred.
2–5 years of experience in banking (preferably in Current Account or Business Banking).
Experience in client acquisition and portfolio management is an added advantage.
