Assistant Manager - Costing

Position Summary

The Costing Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing, analysing, and controlling product costing, budgetary controls, cost audits, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support management in decision-making.

The role requires close coordination with production, supply chain, finance, and sales teams to ensure accurate costing and profitability analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and processes.
• Prepare product cost sheets, standard costs, and analyze actual vs. standard variances.
• Conduct periodic cost audits and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Monitor material consumption, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption.
• Support management in pricing decisions and margin analysis.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and cost statements for top management.
• Work with cross-functional teams to track cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Education

  :
• Qualified Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) / Inter Qualified CMA
• Strong academic background

• Experience

  :
• More than 4 years of experience in costing, preferably in manufacturing,

  engineering, or FMCG industries

  .
• Proven expertise in product costing, cost audits, and variance analysis.
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP/HANA) and advanced Excel.
