Roles

Critical role responsible for leading operations for the 2P / 3P plants of BCCL and is responsible for driving plant production and asset utilization levels within the agreed SLAs with the co-manufacturing facility, global quality standards, good manufacturing practices, environment, health and safety standards. The role holder will take overall responsibility of 2P / 3P plants to ensure availability and efficient utilization of all equipment and machinery through comprehensive engineering and maintenance operations for the plant and minimizing material and maintenance costs.

KPI s

• Anticipate future business needs and drive strategic and tactical plans for infrastructural development in the Plant, including capacity expansion, plant automation, etc.
• Study past performance trends in capacity utilization levels in the 2P / 3P plants, critical commodity costs, productivity, presence/threats of labour unions and existing relationships, availability of skilled manpower and prepare contingency plans to ensure business continuity
• Assist Head Ops in preparing annual budget for the 2P / 3P plants and allocate resources and approval for initiatives and capital expenditure proposals by evaluating ROI and payback periods.
• Good knowledge about TPM , 5S and other process improvement tools.
• Collaborate with teams from 2P / 3P plants and estimate resource requirements such as equipment, production lines, facilities, raw and packing materials, utilities, and manpower and ensure strict adherence to annual allocated budget.
• Negotiate all 2P / 3P contracts; share updates on business developments, issue resolution and change in contract terms with the leadership team
• Identify areas of improvement in 2P / 3P plants’ operations and suggest methods for improving the cost, quality and processes to significantly mitigate gaps and delays
• Forecast possible crises & bottlenecks in 2P / 3P plants’ Production due to fluctuations in market demand & supply of raw materials, plant ramp ups etc. and create contingency plans for the same
• Coordinate with the R&D team, marketing team to ensure that the 2P / 3P plant teams understand the product requirements and work towards achieving the best-in-class quality
• Ensure optimal performance of 2P / 3P plant sites on environment, health, and safety by monitoring number of reportable incidents, score on hazardous waste treatment, etc.
• Ensure optimal 2P / 3P plants’ performance on cost parameters by monitoring actual cost vs budgeted, analysis of variances to identify root cause, and proposing action plans to achieve cost optimization
