Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager E&I is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and reliability of all instrumentation and control systems in the cement plant. This includes process control instruments, field instruments, PLCs, SCADA, DCS, analyzers, and communication systems. The role supports plant operations through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and continuous improvement of instrumentation systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Instrumentation & Control Systems Maintenance Supervise the installation, maintenance, and calibration of field instruments such as flow, pressure, level, and temperature transmitters. Monitor and maintain PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems for uninterrupted plant operations. Maintain analyzers (gas analyzer, temperature probes, etc.) used in kiln, cooler, and process lines. Ensure accurate and timely calibration of instruments as per standards. 2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all instrumentation systems. Use predictive tools to monitor and anticipate instrument failures to avoid breakdowns. Maintain records and logs of maintenance and calibration activities. 3. Troubleshooting & Repairs Lead root cause analysis for instrument-related breakdowns and implement corrective actions. Quickly respond to instrumentation faults and ensure minimal downtime. Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support when needed. 4. Project Execution & Upgrades Support implementation of new projects, instrumentation upgrades, and automation improvements. Assist in the planning and commissioning of new equipment and systems. Ensure instrumentation installations comply with industry standards and safety norms. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with plant safety guidelines and standards. Adhere to quality standards like ISO, and participate in audits. Maintain and update documentation related to instrument loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control wiring. 6. Team Management & Coordination Supervise and guide technicians and contractors involved in instrumentation tasks. Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and production departments for cross-functional support. Conduct training sessions for team members on new systems and safety protocols.
