Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Process and review daily payments to vendors, including MSME and advance payments, ensuring timely disbursements in line with statutory obligations.
2. Post vendor/customer knock-off entries and maintain up-to-date AP/AR ledgers.
3. Ensure on-time payments and accurate compliance for statutory obligations like PF, ESIC, PT, NPS & TDS.
4. Track and account for payroll-related entries including employee salaries, loans, leave encashments & reimbursements.
5. Coordinate with HR and payroll for proper reconciliation of payroll data with accounts.
6. Monitor and track capital expenditures to ensure accurate classification and capitalization as per accounting policies.
7. Prepare monthly fixed asset capitalization reports and maintain the asset register.
8. Support fixed asset and inventory physical verification exercises (semi-annually) and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
9. Conduct monthly and annual reconciliations of creditor and debtor ledgers.
10. Post monthly and year-end expense provisions with supporting schedules.
11. Assist in cash flow preparation and fund utilization planning.
12. Generate monthly

    MIS reports

    for operational expenses and track key variances.
13. Perform budget vs. actual comparisons and provide

    variance analysis.

14. Conduct GL variance analysis, material consumption tracking, and support CWIP reporting.
15. Contribute to budgeting process by providing timely and accurate inputs.
16. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
17. Proactively identify process improvements and recommend enhancements in routine operations.
18. Provide temporary support or coordination in the absence of senior finance team members.

Preferred candidate profile

BCom/MCom / MBA in Finance or equivalent postgraduate degree in accounting or finance with 5 to 10 years of experience in any Manufacturing industry.
