Assistant Manager, Accounting

You will be part of the accounting and analytical team at Altisource, where you will manage staff members in general accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for specific revenue streams at each month-end close. You will also be responsible for managing, coaching, and collaborating with accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate analysis of financial results and financial position for specific revenue streams. Additionally, you will report on trends, prepare monthly financial reporting packages, and ensure timely and accurate deliverables for audits, SOX assessments, regulatory requirements, and state requirements. As the ideal candidate, you will leverage your accumulated experience and expertise to develop best practices in finance and accounting. You will lead and participate in automating and streamlining accounting and reporting processes to optimize accuracy and efficiency in the month-end close process. It is essential for you to be well-versed in US GAAP and SOX, build strong relationships with team members and business unit counterparts, motivate and coach direct reports, and maintain a positive working environment with various stakeholders. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or audit, preferably in an assistant manager position. Big 4 experience in Audit and Accounting departments and/or Internal Audit experience in large financial institutions is preferred. A CA qualification with strong technical accounting knowledge is required.
