Assistant

The role of Assistant - Operations based in Nagpur involves the efficient management of warehouse areas, ensuring optimal use of space and overseeing day-to-day activities of warehouse staff and drivers. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Assistant is responsible for maximizing space utilization, receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The Assistant will work closely with the Warehouse Manager in overseeing warehouse inventory, operations, and staff. Responsibilities include assisting in the hiring and training of new employees, scheduling staff shifts for efficiency, and monitoring attendance. They will manage the receipt of raw materials, packing materials, and general items, maintaining inventory levels through physical audits and reconciliations. Additionally, the Assistant will ensure proper storage of stock within the warehouse, plan daily activities to achieve targets, and coordinate the timely dispatch of finished goods. Collaborating with other departments, the Assistant will develop strategic plans to enhance warehouse practices, monitor expenditures, and enforce safety policies. The ideal candidate for this role should have 2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, hold a minimum Bachelor's degree, and be familiar with warehouse management systems and SAP. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and proficiency in MS Office tools are essential for success in this position. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel is also required.
