Assistant Director

The Assistant Director is a crucial member of the production team. They work closely with the first assistant director and other members of the assistant director team to ensure the smooth running of the production.

Responsibilities:

• Help prepare the daily call sheets, which provide detailed information about the shooting schedule, locations, cast, and crew needed for each day of production.
• Involves coordinating with various departments to determine the order of scenes to be filmed and ensuring that it aligns with the overall production timeline.
• Manage the set by organizing and coordinating various activities. They may oversee background actors, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time, and manage crowd control if necessary.
• Handle the logistics of the cast on set. This can involve coordinating their arrival and departure times, providing them with the necessary information, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Serve as a crucial link between the director, production team, and various departments. They convey instructions, changes, and updates to the crew, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
• Maintaining a safe working environment on set. This includes ensuring that safety protocols are followed, conducting safety briefings, and addressing any potential hazards that may arise during filming.
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as production reports, time sheets, and daily progress reports. They help maintain accurate records for reference and future use.
• Collaborate with the editor and other post-production personnel to ensure a seamless transition from production to the editing phase and to deliver the assets as per the brief.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in Videography preferably within an advertising agency or a production house
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Able to help facilitate efficient communication, organization, and coordination among the cast and crew
