Key Responsibilities
Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies aligned with corporate objectives, emphasizing proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable safety regulations and standards, ISO 45001, and local statutory requirements.• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments; implement effective control measures to mitigate identified risks.• Incident Management: Lead investigations of accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; develop and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.• Training & Development: Design and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, promoting awareness and competence in safety practices.• Safety Audits & Inspections: Plan and execute regular safety audits and inspections; monitor compliance and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans; conduct drills and training to ensure readiness for potential emergencies.• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of operations.• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety; report on safety performance to senior management and stakeholders.
