Job Role: Assistant Branch Head Type: Permanent Location: Base Branch Level: Manager / Senior Manager Reporting: Branch Manager Job responsibilities: Role: The Assistant Branch Manager co-manages the operation of a branch, and provides indirect supervision, leadership, coaching and mentoring to all branch staff; participates in the setting and achievement of branch financial, quality, sales and service delivery targets. He is also responsible for Branch Compliance. The position shall assist the Branch Manager in effectively managing the staff, operations, and sales programs, provide customers with quality service and identify client's needs and cross-sell appropriate products. Key Responsibilities: Has overall responsibility for day to day smooth operations of the Branch Ensures that all banking operations are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, viz. transaction processing, cash management, reconciliation of entries, etc. Responsible for overall customer satisfaction through regular client interaction and prompt and timely redressal of customer grievances and resolution of customer complaints Supervises various administrative facilities like filing, records maintenance, stationary management, etc., for efficient branch operations Supporting the Branch Head in all his areas of focus and officiate as Branch Head during his absence Leading the cross sales initiatives of the branch and ensuring that all staff members are actively involved in cross selling different products Imparting on the job training to the tellers and customer relationship officers for smooth and efficient operations Assist in meeting or exceeding branch goals by deepening the existing relationships, developing new and profitable relationships, and growing customer base Support in the delivery of quality customer service; developing an effective and efficient sales team Help in the overall management of the branch, including operations, sales, service and audit with a primary focus on operations Open new accounts, process and input loans, and perform other duties, if required Performing such other tasks as maybe assigned by the Management Experience/Skills Required: A bachelors degree, preferably with a master's degree in Management 3-5 years’ experience of working in a similar position, preferably with a private sector bank Clear written and oral communication skills in English, good command over local language and Basic mathematical skills Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and service Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures Should be result driven and customer focused Familiarity with AML, KYC norms and RBI guidelines in this regard Basic computer literacy is a must
