Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST (Monday to Saturday)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GST Accountant to handle all aspects of Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, reconciliations, and related accounting tasks. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial accuracy and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GST regulations, with proficiency in accounting software and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, file, and reconcile monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) in compliance with Indian GST laws.

- Manage GST input tax credit (ITC) reconciliations, including verification of invoices and supplier data.

- Conduct GST audits, respond to departmental notices, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate records of GST transactions, including e-way bills, refunds, and transitional credits.

- Assist in general accounting duties such as ledger maintenance, invoice processing, and financial reporting.

- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, procurement) to ensure GST implications are integrated into business processes.

- Stay updated on GST law changes, circulars, and amendments, and implement necessary updates.

- Support year-end audits and prepare GST-related documentation for statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field; CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent certification preferred.

- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and accounting, ideally in a similar industry.

- In-depth knowledge of GST regulations, including IGST, CGST, SGST, and compliance procedures.

- Proficiency in Tally ERP, GSTN portal, and MS Excel; familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume data.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for coordinating with vendors, authorities, and team members.

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
