Key Responsibilities

  1. Assembly and Installation

    :
  • Assemble and install various aerospace components and systems, including airframes, engines, and other mechanical parts.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Perform precision alignment and fitting of parts to exacting tolerances.
  1. Inspection and Testing

    :
  • Conduct inspections of assembled parts and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform functional tests on components and systems to verify proper operation.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  1. Tool and Equipment Use

    :
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and specialized equipment in the assembly process.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
  1. Quality Control and Compliance

    :
  • Adhere to all quality control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances or defects in materials, processes, or products.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  1. Collaboration and Communication

    :
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
  • Provide feedback on design and assembly processes to engineering and management teams.

Qualifications

  • ITI technical certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in aerospace assembly or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with aerospace materials and components.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and tools (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges).
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices in the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
  • Visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and work with small components.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals typically associated with a manufacturing environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
