Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) for our company, your role will involve leading and expanding our retail and general trade presence in Guwahati and the North East region. Key Responsibilities: - Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned territory of Guwahati and the North East. - Appoint, manage, and grow distributors and sub-stockists. - Ensure growth in numeric and weighted distribution across general trade. - Take ownership of outlet-level execution including visibility, planograms, and schemes. - Monitor and achieve monthly targets in volume, value, and visibility KPIs. - Lead, train, and motivate a team of Sales Officers. - Analyze competitor activities and field intelligence to adjust market strategies. - Plan regular beats and conduct market visits to ensure effective ground-level execution. Qualifications: - 5-8 years of sales experience in FMCG/D2C brands. - Strong experience in handling the North East market is preferred. - Proven expertise in distributor/channel management and retail execution. - Go-getter attitude with excellent communication and team management skills. - Fluency in the local language (Assamese) is considered an added advantage.
