ASIC Design Engineer

As an ASIC Design Engineer at NVIDIA, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing world-leading SoCs that impact a wide range of products, from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and artificial intelligence. Your work will involve collaborating with system architects to understand functional and performance requirements, defining micro-architecture, developing RTL, and ensuring accurate verification and implementation. You will also be responsible for silicon bring-up, mentoring junior engineers, and guiding them in their work. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with system architects to understand functional and performance requirements. - Define micro-architecture and develop RTL for owned unit and/or feature. - Ensure accurate verification and implementation in collaboration with verification and physical design teams. - Own silicon bring-up in conjunction with post-silicon validation and SW teams. - Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance. Qualifications Required: - BS / MS or equivalent experience. - 2+ years of experience in ASIC design. - Proven expertise in implementing complex features or units. - Proficiency in micro-architecture definition and RTL coding using Verilog or System Verilog. - Familiarity with design and verification tools (Synthesis, lint, VCS or equivalent simulation tools, debug tools like Debussy, GDB). - Experience in memory management unit, interconnect design, and cache controller design is desirable. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, along with scripting knowledge. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a teammate.
