Area Sales Specialist

As an Area Sales Specialist at STAAR Surgical, you will play a crucial role in developing the business in the assigned territory, focusing on short-term goals and long-term strategies to establish a premium market for implantable lens solutions for refractive errors. Reporting to the Zonal Manager, you will be responsible for exceeding business revenues, achieving marketing and sales objectives, and assisting in the development of influential users for the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include working towards surpassing business revenues for the assigned territory, achieving marketing and sales objectives, and supporting the development and engagement of influential users. You will collaborate with the Reporting Manager to organize and conduct doctor and surgeon training, assist with promotional activities at regional/national congresses, and collect and analyze market-relevant data in the region. Moreover, you will be tasked with providing sales and training support to distribution partners, preparing and submitting field activity reports, and ensuring compliant execution of STAAR's business processes. Relationship management will also be a key aspect of your role, as you will work towards building professional relationships with key customers and high-volume users to maximize their engagement with the organization. To be successful in this role, you should have a background as an Optometrist, B.Tech., or B.Sc., with a preference for a post-graduate degree or MBA. Excellent English skills, a minimum of 5 years of field sales experience (preferably in the Ophthalmology segment), and a creative, independent, and flexible mindset are essential. Additionally, you should possess strong team player qualities and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.,
