Role Summary:

Area Sales Manager (Govt. Sales)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and action plan to effectively penetrate the government market.
  • Identify key opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships to increase market share.
  • Territory Management:

  • Take ownership of the designated geographic area, which may include multiple municipalities, states, or regions.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to maximize sales potential.
  • Government Procurement:

  • Understand the government procurement process, including bidding, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure all requirements are met to participate in government tenders.
  • Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within various government departments.
  • Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to enhance networking opportunities.
  • Sales Presentations:

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to government agencies, showcasing the value and benefits of the products and services offered.
  • Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of government clients.
  • Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to government sales and client satisfaction.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • UG:

    Any Graduate
  • PG:

    MBA/PGDM in Marketing
  • Experience:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, specifically targeting government clients.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
  • Experience with government tenders, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
