Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Relationship Managers/ Sales Officers.

Set monthly targets, track performance, and drive productivity across the team.

Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, and performance reviews.

2. Business Development & Territory Expansion

Develop and execute area-level strategies to generate business for Secured Business Loans.

Ensure strong penetration in SME clusters, industrial areas, and relevant business segments.

Build and nurture relationships with key local influencers, trade bodies, and business associations.

3. Channel Management

Identify, appoint, and manage DSAs, connectors, and referral partners to scale business.

Train and support channel partners on product, documentation, and credit norms.

Monitor channel performance and ensure compliance with company policies.

4. Credit & Risk Management

Conduct first-level screening of customer profiles, financials, collateral, and business viability.

Ensure high-quality sourcing with minimal deviations and early delinquency.

Coordinate closely with credit, legal, and technical teams for faster approvals.

5. Customer Relationship Management

Participate in customer meetings for major or high-ticket proposals.

Resolve escalations and ensure superior customer experience throughout the loan lifecycle.

Build long-term relationships to generate repeat and referral business.

6. Documentation, Compliance & Disbursement

Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all documentation from the team.

Monitor TATs for login, approval, sanction, and disbursement.

Ensure adherence to internal processes, audit norms, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of Secured Business Loans, LAP, and SME lending.

Ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate business/ collateral risk.

Leadership, team management, and performance coaching skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Market intelligence and competitive awareness in the territory.

Strong result orientation with strategic planning capabilities.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate MBA/PGDM preferred.

2 years in a team-handling role

Prior experience in managing DSAs, connectors, and local SME markets.

Monthly disbursement achievement for the area.

Team productivity and activation.

Lead-to-disbursement conversion ratio.

Portfolio quality (early delinquencies, DPD levels).

Channel partner activation and contribution.

TAT compliance (login to disbursement).
