Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration in a specific geographic area. This role involves managing local merchant relationships, onboarding new sellers, and executing regional sales strategies tailored for the e-commerce space. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identify, recruit, and onboard local vendors/sellers to the e-commerce platform. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and merchants. Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to improve market positioning. Collaborate with central marketing and operations teams to launch local campaigns and promotions. Track performance metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reports. Train and manage a team of field sales executives (if applicable). Ensure high levels of seller satisfaction and resolve any operational or service-related issues. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 3–6 years of experience in sales, preferably in e-commerce, FMCG, or retail sectors. Strong understanding of e-commerce business models and regional market dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using CRM tools and MS Office; familiarity with sales reporting tools. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with third-party sellers, retailers, or distributors. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Knowledge of local languages (if applicable) is a plus.
