Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, managing distributors & retailers, increasing product visibility, and driving market growth for Quick Pure packaged drinking water.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets.
  • Develop sales plans for 1 Ltr, 500 ml, and other pack sizes.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions.

B. Distribution Management

  • Appoint, manage & support distributors in the assigned area.
  • Ensure product availability across retailers, hotels, restaurants, cafs, corporates, and wholesalers.
  • Maintain distributor inventory levels and ensure timely secondary sales.

C. Market Expansion

  • Identify new markets, potential retailers, and corporate clients.
  • Drive numeric & weighted distribution growth.
  • Execute new product launches smoothly.

D. Team Management

  • Manage and guide Sales Executives / Sales Representatives.
  • Conduct training on products, pricing, and sales techniques.
  • Track team performance and motivate them to achieve targets.

E. Trade Marketing & Branding

  • Execute company schemes, offers, and promotions.
  • Ensure visibility: posters, danglers, branding boards, racks.
  • Build strong relationships with retailers & channel partners.

F. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily sales reports (DSR).
  • Report competitor activities, price movements, and offers.
  • Track outstanding payments & ensure collection discipline.

Preferred candidate profile

3.Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum

    25 years

    of experience in FMCG / Beverage / Water distribution.
  • Strong distributor & retail network knowledge.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle field sales team.
  • Strong analytical & reporting skills.
  • Ready for extensive field visits.

  • Sales target achievement.
  • New outlet additions per month.
  • Distributor performance & expansion.
  • Market visibility & branding execution.
  • Collection efficiency.
