Role Summary:

Area Sales Manager Industrial Lubricants Sales

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets for industrial lubricants within the assigned area.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives and representatives to ensure optimum performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key accounts, including manufacturers, heavy industries, and power plants.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with technical, marketing, and logistics teams to provide tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the area.
  • Conduct regular field visits to meet customers, understand their needs, and strengthen relationships.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and promotional activities within the territory.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales staff to improve skills and product knowledge.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop customized lubrication solutions by understanding customer requirements and collaborating with technical teams.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with marketing, technical support, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, forecasts, and reports in CRM or ERP systems.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience:

    58 years of sales experience in industrial lubricants or related industrial products, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial lubricants and their applications.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
