Role Overview

Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Ghee and SMP.
• Build and manage relationships with distributors, retailers, institutional buyers, and channel partners.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, identify new opportunities, and ensure strong market presence.
• Negotiate and finalize deals with institutional clients to drive volume sales.
• Work closely with the marketing team to implement trade promotions and activation plans.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives/distributors for effective territory coverage.
• Prepare regular sales reports, MIS, and market feedback for management.

Key Requirements

• Education:

  Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  8–10 years of proven experience

  in sales of

  dairy products (Ghee & SMP)

  in both retail and institutional segments.
• Strong network of distributors and institutional buyers within the dairy industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on achieving targets.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
