Job Summary:

Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for personal care products.
    • Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies aligned with overall company goals.
    • Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and market penetration.
  • Team Management:

    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers/Representatives.
    • Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
    • Conduct regular field visits to support and guide the team.
  • Channel & Distributor Management:

    • Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors and stockists in the assigned area.
    • Maintain healthy relationships with channel partners and ensure timely order fulfilment and collections.
    • Ensure adherence to trade policies, credit limits, and stock hygiene.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis:

    • Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
    • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams for new product development and promotional campaigns.
  • Promotions & Visibility:

    • Plan and execute trade promotions, in-store visibility initiatives, and consumer promotions.
    • Ensure brand presence across retail touchpoints, including modern trade and general trade.
  • Reporting & Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate sales data and submit timely reports to the management.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal processes and statutory regulations.
  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
    • Sound understanding of trade channels and distribution management
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales tools and CRM software
