Job Description

Job Summary:

Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for personal care products.
Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies aligned with overall company goals.
Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and market penetration.

Team Management:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers/Representatives.
Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
Conduct regular field visits to support and guide the team.

Channel & Distributor Management:

Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors and stockists in the assigned area.
Maintain healthy relationships with channel partners and ensure timely order fulfilment and collections.
Ensure adherence to trade policies, credit limits, and stock hygiene.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams for new product development and promotional campaigns.

Promotions & Visibility:

Plan and execute trade promotions, in-store visibility initiatives, and consumer promotions.
Ensure brand presence across retail touchpoints, including modern trade and general trade.

Reporting & Compliance:

Maintain accurate sales data and submit timely reports to the management.
Ensure compliance with all internal processes and statutory regulations.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
Sound understanding of trade channels and distribution management
Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales tools and CRM software
