Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the dermatology sector, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets within a specific geographic area. This entails developing and implementing sales strategies, fostering relationships with key customers such as dermatologists and cosmetologists, monitoring market trends, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Meeting or surpassing sales targets for the assigned territory. - Recruiting, training, and overseeing a team of Medical Representatives (MRs). - Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key customers, including dermatologists and cosmetologists. - Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to identify opportunities and challenges. - Developing and executing sales strategies to enhance brand performance, expand market share, and achieve sales goals. - Utilizing a sales management process to identify and prioritize key customers and prospects. - Preparing and presenting sales reports, analyzing sales data, and providing feedback to senior management. - Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. In addition to these responsibilities, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Proven sales experience, preferably in the dermatology or pharmaceutical industry. - Proficiency in team management, including recruiting, training, and managing a sales team. - Strong knowledge of dermatology products and treatments. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Experience in CRM systems and customer relationship management. - Ability to analyze sales data and market trends. - Typically a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as pharmacy, life sciences, or a related area. - Willingness to travel within the assigned territory. Some additional qualifications that may be advantageous include experience with specific dermatology products or treatments, tele-sales or digital marketing in dermatology, a deep understanding of the dermatology market in the specific territory, fluency in multiple languages (especially English and Hindi), and experience in channel sales and managing distributors. The role of an Area Sales Manager in dermatology plays a critical role in driving sales, enhancing brand awareness, and ensuring customer satisfaction within a designated geographic area. This position is full-time and permanent, with a day shift and morning shift schedule.
