Job Description

As a sales manager at Colgate-Palmolive, your role involves managing the execution of sales, distribution, and promotions in a designated area to achieve branch objectives. Your key responsibilities include: - **Distribution management:** - Manage stockists and provide recommendations for improving ROI, infrastructure, and coverage. - Ensure optimal stocks availability through VMI or standard order booking. - **Trade management:** - Identify new markets/accounts and add specialty wholesalers. - Classify stores accurately in route lists. - Utilize activations effectively to drive sales. - **In-store Management:** - Coordinate with the local in-store team for effective POP solutions. - Drive conversions in the wholesale channel for better ICRE conversions. - Ensure compliance with terms & conditions for transparency inside stores. - **Market Insights:** - Gather competitive information on new products, activities, and schemes. - **Data-based Working:** - Analyze market share and performance metrics. - Utilize data for driving business performance. - **Development and Training:** - Train and develop the team on various aspects including sales call efficiency and data-based planning. - **Meetings and Reporting:** - Conduct regular meetings with teams for activity updates and planning. - Compile reports as per RM requirements. - **Relationship Building:** - Build trust with stockists and trade partners. - Share success stories and work towards category growth. You should have at least 2 years of experience in FMCG companies in a managerial role, operating in a similar market environment.
