AR Accountant

As an Accounts Receivable Accountant at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounts receivable process to ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer invoices, collections, and reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining accounts receivable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy - Monitoring and analyzing accounts receivable metrics to identify areas for improvement - Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards, and regulatory requirements You will be responsible for customer invoicing by: - Ensuring timely and accurate creation and issuance of customer invoices - Coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve any invoicing issues or discrepancies Managing collections and cash application process by: - Following up on outstanding customer balances in a timely manner - Monitoring aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and taking appropriate actions Evaluating customer creditworthiness by: - Reviewing credit applications, credit limits, and credit terms - Collaborating with sales and finance teams to establish and adjust credit limits - Implementing credit control policies to minimize bad debt and credit risk exposure Your role will also involve: - Performing regular reconciliations of customer accounts - Monitoring and analyzing accounts receivable metrics such as days sales outstanding and collection effectiveness - Preparing various accounts receivable reports and collaborating with the GL team for accurate financial reporting Additionally, you will be involved in revenue recognition processes and ensuring key criteria and standards are followed for international transactions.
