Project Role : Application Support Engineer Project Role Description : Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Must have skills : IBM z/OS Good to have skills : NA Minimum 0-2 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing support to end-users. Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor critical batches & console alerts. Report batch issues. Apply SOP to troubleshoot. Perform IPL/HMC operations and system maintenances. Handle system breakdowns - Emergency IPL, Dumps Identify & report risks to SLAs and engage stakeholders Monitor System performance Professional & Technical Skills:Expertise with batch scheduling tools - particularly in TWS tool. Good to have experience with other scheduling tools like CA-ESP, CA-7, or Control-M Experience to work with Spool management tools, system monitoring and automation tools Expertise & knowledge to perform IPL and knowledge of HMC operations Experienced to support Production/LIVE environment in 24x7 support model Technical Competency Problem-Solving Skills Communication Skills Additional Information: The candidate should have a minimum of 0-2 years of experience in IBM z/OS. This position is based at our Bengaluru office. A 15 years full time education is required. Qualifications 15 years full time education
