Duties (include but are not limited to)

• Liaising with the business to determine/refine finance requirements so that they can be submitted to Application Management Services team
• Providing support and resolution to complex system and finance support issues
• Supervising, directing & developing other more junior members of the team to respond to support tickets and drive to resolution
• Supporting team members/finance function/business in testing approach and plans for changes to finance systems
• In certain circumstances, appraise and carry out impact analysis of requested changes to Finance system to determine if change should be made and approach to change
• Leading Project migration workstreams for financial migration eg Trial balance, intercompany, AP or AR in divestment or acquisition scenarios
• To include helping to plan the workstream
• Coordinate with other members of the Corporate Business Systems team to drive the workstream
• Be able to provide status updates and identify and explain key risks and issues affecting the workstream
• Helping to drive the finance roadmap by proactively identifying areas which can be improved – eg reporting or complex finance processes with multiple handoff
• Act as Functional consultant for implementation/migration of ERP systems such as Workday, SAP and other platforms.
• Extensive Data Analysis in MS Excel for validation of system data for migration purposes
• Escalation of faults/bugs/changes to development or management teams.
• Be able to work flexible working hours, including shift working and weekends, as and when required.
• Get involved in any other new or transitioned business activities as required by the management.

Requirements / Skills

• Must have a strong accounting background – Accounting qualification a real advantage but not essential
• If no formal accounting qualification, then would need to be able to demonstrate strong practical knowledge of accounting
• Thorough understanding of basic bookkeeping principles – debits/credits, accruals, deferrals, revenue recognition, etc.
• Strong analytical experience – ability to reconcile differences and determine corrective course of action
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in Application Support, Application Management OR Application Implementation.
• Should possess excellent skills in Excel.
• Strong interpersonal/team skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Excellent communication and client facing/customer service skills to lead calls.
• Proven ability to think logically.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
• Ability to priorities tasks and time management skills.
• Analytical bend of mind to understand and resolve incidents.
• An adaptable attitude, wanting to provide a good service.
• Stress tolerance and self-motivation.

Experience

• Any Graduate
• Background in working with financial systems either as a finance systems consultant or as a systems accountant again would be major advantage
• Familiarity with Workday FINS is a real advantage, and secondary experience of SAP/Oracle ERP as well
• Proven track record of working in an accounting environment
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a must.
• Work knowledge on any – Financial Management (Projects, Contracts, Customers, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Banking), Spend Management and Time Tracking Management ERP systems, preferably Workday Application Modules.
• Work knowledge on modules of SAP/Workday Financials
• Proficiency in the concept and using JIRA and SNOW or similar ticketing tools.
• Work Experience in Data Migration and Implementation.
• Hands on experience in Testing of applications (Regression Testing, QA Testing & UAT Testing).
• Previous experience in a Data Analysis OR Implementation role.
