Application Engineer

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for conducting pre-sales feasibility studies, customer presentations, trade show set-up, training and onsite post-sales support/installation. The AE determines the right combination of Cognex vision or sensor hardware, lighting, optics and programing for an optimal solution that fits within the customers defined budget. The Applications Engineering team provides technical expertise and support the sales organization in selling Cognex Vision and Sensor products to assist sales in exceeding their quota.

Essential Functions:

1. Analyze customer requirements, develop vision solutions, and test the feasibility of lighting setups;
2. Collaborate with customer engineers on vision processes and communication protocols; 3. Write vision programs, test them in simulation, and analyze the test results; 4. Develop vision tasks based on AE Limit, ensuring edge detection and re-inspection logic are confirmed; 5. Respond to new vision requirements from customers, add corresponding vision programs, and validate their stability; 6. Analyze abnormal, identify solutions, and share results with PM and customers; 7. Write Vision Workflow reports explaining the principles of vision software; 8. Provide technical training to FSEs, helping them master usage and maintenance techniques.

Minimum education and work experience required:

1. Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in Machine Vision or any relevant Vision Based Technology
2. Salary maximum up to Rs.90000/- per month 3. Bachelors Degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Communication with 75% average or equivalent 4. Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Instrumentation / Electronics / Communication with no backlogs 5. Programming knowledge in C# / .Net / Java is added advantage 6. Machine Vision / Robotics / AI / Deep Learning knowledge is added advantage 7. Should be comfortable working in factory environment
