App Script Executive
Job Summary
The App Script Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing custom solutions using Google Apps Script and other similar scripting platforms. This role involves automating processes across various Google Workspace applications, creating seamless integrations, and optimizing business workflows. The ideal candidate is proficient in coding, problem solving, and project management, with a strong focus on streamlining operations, enhancing productivity, and driving business innovation through automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Script Development & Automation:
- Design and build custom applications and automation solutions utilizing Google Apps Script.
- Develop and maintain scripts to integrate and automate processes between Google Workspace apps (e.g., Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, Calendar).
- Test, document, and iterate on code to ensure reliability and performance.
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with department heads, IT teams, and external stakeholders to gather requirements and understand pain points.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under a fast-paced work environment.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Debug existing scripts and systems; identify areas for improvement and implement performance optimizations.
- Monitor the performance of automated workflows and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Ensure code adheres to best practices regarding security, data privacy, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create detailed documentation for scripts, integrations, and the processes automated.
- Develop training materials and lead training sessions for staff on how to effectively use the automation solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting as needed to maintain high system uptime.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and updates in Google Apps Script and related technologies.
- Identify opportunities to deploy new tools or methodologies that can further enhance workflow automation.
- Regularly review automated processes and propose improvements or new integrations to support evolving business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with Google Apps Script and a solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and JSON.
- Experience in using Google Workspace APIs and other cloud-based automation platforms.
- Adept at using version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding environments.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop automated solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to debug and optimize code.
- Demonstrated capacity to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and instruction.
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team.
- Experience in managing projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3–5 years of practical experience in programming and automation, specifically in Google Apps Script or equivalent platforms.
- Proven track record of developing successful automation projects and driving technological enhancements in previous roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications related to Google Workspace administration or cloud platforms.
- Experience working with additional scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, etc.).
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
