Android Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Android Developer with over 4+ years of experience in building scalable and high-performance mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Android SDK, design patterns, and modern development practices. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Android development.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with architecture components like MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Coroutines etc.
• Knowledge of Firebase, Retrofit and Dagger/Hilt.
• Experience with tools like Android Studio, Git and Gradle.
• Understanding of Material Design principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in publishing apps to the Google Play Store.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
