Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Android Developer (2+ years) to lead and scale our Android app. You’ll own end-to-end development — from API integration and architecture design to deployment and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable Android features using Kotlin, XML, and MVVM architecture.
Integrate the app with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) for real-time and secure data sync.
Manage Play Store deployment, versioning, and build pipelines.
Optimize performance, memory usage, and background services.
Work closely with iOS and backend teams to maintain feature parity and architectural consistency.
Contribute to clean code practices, testing, and documentation.

Job Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in Kotlin development.
Strong understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).
Proven experience integrating backend APIs and handling app lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with Play Store release and Gradle build management.
Solid debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.

Bonus Points

Experience with Screen Time / UsageStatsManager APIs or Digital Wellbeing features.
Familiarity with background jobs, WorkManager, and battery optimization.
Experience with analytics or subscription-based apps.
