Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Chennai, India

Experience: 3 – 8 Years

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Android Developer who has hands-on experience building high-quality mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of native Android development, a deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless app experiences.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and stability across a range of devices.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements.
• Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development tools, libraries, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Android app development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Jetpack, and modern app architectures (MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture).
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON/XML, SQLite/Room database.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git / GitHub / Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
• Good grasp of UI/UX standards and ability to build intuitive interfaces.
• Experience with Firebase, Push Notifications, Crashlytics, Analytics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Good to Have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployment.
• Exposure to material design principles and animation frameworks.
• Published apps on Play Store is an added advantage.
