Android Architect

Role Overview: You will be working as an Android Solution Architect at Quantiphi with a total experience of 8+ years in Android development, including significant experience in an architectural or lead role. The work locations available are Mumbai, Bangalore, and Trivandrum in a hybrid work setup. Your primary technology stack will include Kotlin as the primary language, along with Java. You will be working with various Android frameworks and libraries such as AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flows, Room, Hilt, Dagger2, LiveData, RxJava, among others. You will also be involved in architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and Microservices tailored for the mobile context. Additionally, you will use CI/CD tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Bitrise for automated testing, building, and deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the architectural design and development of complex Android applications to ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. - Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines across Android development teams. - Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs. - Conduct technical reviews of code, designs, and architectural proposals to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. - Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development efficiency and application quality. - Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Android developers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions. - Stay updated with the latest Android trends, technologies, and industry best practices. - Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for mobile development. - Oversee the implementation of robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and UI testing. - Drive continuous improvement in development processes and application performance. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of progressive experience in Android application development, with at least 2-3 years in an Architect or Lead Android Developer role. - Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale, high-traffic Android applications. - Strong portfolio of successful Android projects showcasing architectural leadership and technical depth. - Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.,
