About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and confident Anchor-cum-Reporter who can effectively present news on-camera and also gather, verify, and report stories from the field. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, on-screen presence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Anchoring
Present news bulletins, special shows, and live segments with clarity and confidence.
Deliver accurate, unbiased, and engaging on-air content.
Coordinate with producers, scriptwriters, and technical teams for smooth telecast.
Conduct interviews with guests, experts, and public personalities.
Reporting
Research, gather, and verify newsworthy information from various sources.
Travel to locations for field reporting, live coverage, and breaking news.
Write scripts, packages, and voice-overs for news stories.
Conduct on-ground interviews and provide real-time updates.
Editorial Responsibilities
Collaborate with the newsroom team to develop story ideas and content plans.
Maintain high journalistic standards and adhere to editorial guidelines.
Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and credibility in all reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
Prior experience in anchoring and field reporting (1–3 years preferred).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong command over English / Telugu / Hindi / [as per requirement].
Good understanding of current affairs, local issues, and trending topics.
Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Confident on-camera presence with good body language.
Knowledge of video production, editing basics, and newsroom operations is a plus.
