Freelance Anchor – Ernakulam & Palakkad
Job Role:
As a Freelance Anchor, you will be the primary host and face of various events in the Ernakulam and Palakkad regions. Your role is to engage the audience, manage the event flow smoothly, and create a lively, professional, and memorable experience for guests and organizers.
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Event Hosting:
- Host live events such as weddings, receptions, stage shows, cultural events, mall activations, and corporate gatherings.
- Manage the event schedule, ensure smooth transitions, and maintain audience interest.
- Audience Interaction:
- Engage the crowd with confidence, humor, and charm.
- Conduct games, quizzes, or entertainment segments where required.
- Handle spontaneous interactions with the audience.
- Coordination with Clients & Event Teams:
- Work closely with event planners, sound/light technicians, and coordinators.
- Understand the event theme, agenda, and tone to deliver a customized performance.
- Language & Local Appeal:
- Communicate fluently in Malayalam and English (Hindi/Tamil optional but preferred).
- Use local cultural knowledge and humor to build rapport with diverse audiences.
- Freelance Responsibilities:
- Manage your own bookings, rates, and schedule.
- Travel to venues in Ernakulam, Palakkad, and nearby locations as required.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a presentable appearance.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Energetic stage presence with improvisation ability
- Familiarity with local customs, festivals, and event styles
- Professional grooming and etiquette
- Prior experience in anchoring or stage performance preferred
Qualifications:
- No formal degree required, but background in media, performing arts, or communication is a plus
- Experience in hosting live events (minimum 6 months to 1 year preferred)
- Must have access to reliable transport for travel within Ernakulam and Palakkad
