Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Provide developers with high-level test cases for the stories before code is written.
  • Prioritize and plan testing activities along with automation.
  • Identify and report issues found, then verify that issues are resolved.
  • Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
  • Configuring, using, and managing test environments and test data.

Leadership And Communication

  • As a senior role, effective communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent project execution.
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.

Test Automation

  • Automation is a critical aspect of QA.
  • Senior QA Engineers design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Familiarity with tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or other testing frameworks is valuable.

Performance Testing

  • Senior QA Engineers assess system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • They use tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, or other tools to simulate heavy loads and analyze system behavior.

Security Testing

  • Understanding security vulnerabilities and conducting security testing is crucial.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities and tools like Burp Suite or ZAP is beneficial.

Agile And DevOps

  • Many organizations follow Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Senior QA Engineers participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery.
  • Ensuring the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during release and iteration planning
