Job Description

As an Analyst - Intercompany Team at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Finance Control team by managing wide projects, including Legal entity reporting. Your responsibilities will include managing the Legal Entity Control function and related businesses by driving resolution for key business issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with the relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations. - Support in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues. - Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data. - Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices. - Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications. - Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports. - Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations. **Qualifications Required:** - Qualified Accountant and Post qualification experience. - Experience in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role. - Knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles under IFRS. - Strong Excel skills. - Previous experience with having used either SAP or Hyperion. In addition to the above qualifications, some highly valued skills for this role include good stakeholder engagement skills, enthusiasm, motivation, being a self-starter, pro-active, and a team player. You should also possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, an exceptional track record in managing and resolving conflict situations, minimal supervisory oversight, and the ability to perform duties with minimal or no guidance. Assertiveness, tenacity, and a focus on control are also important attributes. This role will be based out of Noida.
